WORKHOUSE PORRIDGE

This story is about Annie whose family were evicted from their tied cottage on a farm when her father became ill. They were sent to the workhouse in Kirkham, Lancashire in 1925. Annie's difficult life, sometimes funny, sometimes heartbreaking is chronicled until 1942 during world war II she finds happiness.
