"Where is Rufus?" is a series of books designed to teach children the Gospel as well as bring life to the minor characters of the Bible. Rufus is Peter's dog. Peter and Rufus travel with Jesus throughout his ministry. Rufus has a tendency of wandering off. Along the way, he meets several people who eventually come in contact with Jesus.
In “Where is Rufus? On the Mat”, Rufus returns home with Peter and Jesus for a few days to rest. Rufus goes to visit his neighbor, Andrew, who played with him as a puppy. He quickly learns that Andrew had a terrible accident that left him unable to walk. Rufus leads Andrew’s brother, Philip, and his friends to Jesus in the hopes that he can cure Andrew.
