Violin Time Book 2 is the second book in the Violin Time series. Each new and exciting piece is introduced with a scale and shifting exercise to practise; releasing the finger pressure, ghosting to the new note, and successfully arriving at the new position.
Students will become familiar with new key signatures up to 4 flats and 4 sharps and learn to consolidate their 1st position skills (learned in Book 1), while learning to shift and play in 2nd and 3rd position.
Book 2 covers theory such as time signatures and key signatures and explains in a visual manner how the key signature relates to the left hand finger patters using visual diagrams for students.
The pieces are all exciting and come complete with access to free piano accompaniment and audio visual recordings via the Violin Time website (violintime.com) which is great for the auditory learner. By the end of Book 2, students will have learned to play in a large array of styles including tango, gypsy jazz, classical minuets, waltzes and traditional styles including duets or solo with accompaniments.
