Ancestral Italian Vignettes: A Tribute of Comfort Foods
“Traditional Cookbook” is a collection of favorite comfort foods reflecting generations from the last century. 100 years have passed since my grandmothers, Filomena and Nicolina, traveled by boat to the new world. Rose, my mother handed recipes down from her mother and brought new ways of cooking to her family. My generation embraced the old traditions and added new favorites that we shared.
My ancestors settled in “Little Italy” sections of Chicago - Fun places to live and grow up.
For the most part, the book is about Italian heritage of simple people who shared some great food.
I encourage people to use the book as a template for their ancestral history!
