    About

Gary Ridgway terrorized the cities of Seattle and Tacoma in Washington State for almost 20 years. A serial killer who preyed on female prostitutes and runaway teenagers, he has the highest confirmed murder rate of any serial killer, anywhere. Convicted of murdering 49 women, he actually confessed to killing to between 75 and 80. Ridgway admitted that he had killed so many young women that he had lost count.

The remains of his first known victims were found near the Green River (the main tributary of the Colorado River), quickly earning him the nickname 'the Green River Killer'.

Finally arrested in 2001, Ridgway remained emotionless throughout his trial, listening impassively as the victims’ families detailed the grief and destruction he had wrought on their families. Ony once did the mask slip, when one of his victim’s fathers said he forgave Ridgway, and that he bore the serial killer no hatred.

The Serial Killers series lifts the lid on some of the world's most notorious serial killers and criminals. The narrative outlines the crimes of the killer, exploring the motives and impulses which led the perpetrator to commit their crimes.

There are a total of 12 books in the Serial Killers series, with multi-book bundles comprising four books offering the best value for money.
