The Man whom God made in the sixth day of Creation was a clean being without sin, whose life went on in full communion with his Creator. This status, which seems to us, today, out of reality, was actually the one which is natural. We all know in what circumstances it was lost: using his imagination in a context entirely alien to the communion with God, the Man threw away his immortality, and thus escaped normality. Furthermore, imagining that he could become the equal of God, or even substitute God, the Man was simply banished from the reality in which he once lived. For, it is obvious that the eviction from the Garden of Eden was not simply a consequence of the “tasting” of the forbidden fruit, but a consequence of disobedience, which generated that tasting. It is through this disobedience that the Man was forced to leave his natural standing with which he was endowed during Creation.
By this eviction from the Garden of Eden, the Man needed to assume the risk of somehow living outside his nature. Outside his nature doesn’t mean outside Nature, which the Man was forced to change in order to be able to survive in the manner of animals. Thus the Science was born. First as a life experience according to the manner of animals with which he had to share the Earth, whose well known expression is the storage of the necessary information upon that part of Nature which was immediately accessible. Then with determined actions to change that part of Nature itself, based on the ancestral experience: creation of new species of plants and animals to live in communion with, constructions, simple devices, as well as weapons for self destruction.
Man’s own nature also started being modeled according to Science. The spiritual actions took a quite definite turn: that of alienation from God through idolatry. The living God was replaced with the purely scientific form of the material idol invested with fictitious powers, allegedly capable of changing the Nature itself, not through the Law, as it was destined in the beginning, but through force. Science today is the obedient servant of the force, therefore carries the stigma of sin, which the idol itself carries.
In discussing the relationship between Bible and Science, every case is made exclusively from point of view of Science, as if the Bible had no saying in the matter. Even to the declared servants of the Bible it is a given that the World, for instance, must have been created according to scientific criteria. These scientific criteria are themselves not only insufficient, but sometimes precarious, as they change by the day, so to speak, but they are always kept as right because they are … scientific. It is perhaps the time to change the status of the Bible: regarding the Creation, at least, it is a scientific book just like any other. This assertion might appear as strange to some, but only because nobody has ever tried to evaluate Science from its own point of view. If such an evaluation is made, it clearly makes a difference. It becomes obvious that the Bible can be a guide even for Science, as it was a spiritual guide for Man in his earthly life for millennia.
This book analyzes the difference between the foundation of Science, given by the concept of force, which Man fears and reveres most, and the foundation of this World according to the Bible, i.e. the light. The light, which, according to the Bible, should stand on its own and be the ground of all things existing, is actually being minimized by Science by describing it in terms of force. Isn’t it time we thought of the World as it was first conceived, i.e. in terms of light? Surprisingly enough, the Science has already been forced to do that; however, science won’t admit it. Our reader will find that the latest theoretical concepts of Science are expressions of light in the structure of this World.
