    § Rejlander studied art in Rome. He abandoned painting when he saw how well a photograph captured the fold of a shirt sleeve.
    § Around 1850, he set-up a photography studio in Wolverhampton, England.
    § Rejlander was a master of montage printing. His best-known allegorical work, The Two Ways of Life was a seamless print made from thirty-two images.
    § Rejlander was a member of the Royal Photographic Society of London.
    § Rejlander’s style and photographic techniques were adopted by many other photographers. He has been called the Father of Art Photography.
