    About

After the sudden and tragic death of her husband and father in-law, Janet Hall and her son, Michael, return to her husband’s hometown of Prairie Bend for the funeral. The residents of this small farming community live simple lives, as if stuck in a past era. It doesn’t take long before dark family secrets, town legends, and ghost stories begin to surface. One such story is of a boy named Nathaniel, who was hung for killing his mother. Michael begins to hear voices and senses that something isn’t right. Prairie Bend has an unusual history of child deaths as well as haunted places, and Michael becomes compelled by the folklore and the voice that calls to him. He obeys its directives as it takes him deeper and deeper into the tragic history of the town and closer to the edge of the family’s darkest fears.
