Three motorbikes. Five distilleries. One whisky
The story of how three men on British motorcycles blended the ultimate whisky, by collecting samples from Scotland's most northerly, westerly, easterly, southerly and most central distilleries.
Rob Allanson, editor of Whisky Magazine, came up with the idea. He convinced BBC broadcaster and author ('Spirit of Adventure') Tom Morton to get involved. And then archaeologist Ken Hamilton was invited aboard. Two Triumphs and an Enfield, classic British motorbikes all, and the Edrington Group's master blender, John Ramsay, brought some distinctive flavours. Thousands of miles later, after collecting drams from Highland Park, Kilchoman, Glen Garioch, Bladnoch and Glenturret, the blending began. But would it be any good?
Taking you on a glorious trip to the extremes of Scotland, you can feel the weather and taste the whisky. And at the end of the voyage, there's a beautiful blend to savour. A Journey's Blend.
