COUNTER SPY

Journalist Simon Tomlin meets the Insight Team of the Sunday Times in London to strike a deal to expose the covert activities of political groups. Britain is in the grip of sociopolitical upheaval and forces on the Right and Left intend to exploit the angry public mood. Simon steps into the fold on his first major job for a national newspaper. The resulting feature in the Sunday Times on 21 April 2002 will change his life forever. The Insight team was eventually disbanded in 2006, exposed as dealing in the "dark arts" and criminality. His exposé will take him into the shadows to walk with murderers, gangsters, drug-dealers, radicals, war criminals, News of the World phone hackers and the 'unknown' Hackgate supergrass.
