After the body of a missing girl is discovered in a remote British Columbia river valley, investigators stumble across the remains of two more victims secreted deep in the woods. A monster dwells among them. The ensuing investigation is far more challenging than anything the small town police force has faced before and, under the glare of the public spotlight, mired by politics and clashing egos, they quickly falter.
