A neurosurgeon attempts a life-saving brain transplant surgery following an automobile accident that left the white, female driver brain dead and an African-American teenage boy with a destroyed body. While the boy is left with non-compliant motor nerve damage that requires lengthy rehabilitation, the surgery is viewed as triumphant. News of the surgeon’s successful transplant encourages a billionaire to exploit the procedure to his benefit, subsequently leading the doctor and billionaire to be charged with the murder of a body trade candidate.
