The reviews speak for themselves FIVE STAR RATINGS:
LOVED THIS BOOK byCande01
Loved this book! After nearly a year of writer's block, resistance or procrastination, what ever label you might use, this book managed to do what I could not do on my own.. It got me writing again. The techniques were so simple and I was back to work the next morning after finishing it. I'm so thankful I found it!
FACING YOUR WRITING FEARS by Michael C. Caulder
I loved this book. I've read many books about the practice of writing but Writing With Cold feet offers more practical advice than is commonly supplied. Kathrin really seems to understand the kinds of demons writers face, and how to deal with them. All writers dream of sitting down and letting the words flow out in a ceaseless stream of brilliant insight, but that is never the reality. I would say that the reality of writing for most people feels more like telling a joke to 500 people, none of whom laugh. Kathrin understands how crippling the deafening silence of our own internal audience can be, and she knows how to help push through it. I would recommend anyone interested in the practice of any creative act read Writing with Cold Feet to get a better understanding of what is going on and how to deal with it. Creation is a struggle, find anything helpful and use it.
LOVE TO WRITE AGAIN by Michele Hall
What an incredibly helpful book. I discovered ways I sabotage my writing that I didn't even realize I was doing. Kathrin is clear, helpful and even funny in showing how to get over procrastination, self-sabotage and plain old avoidance and get down to loving, rather than dreading, writing. At the end of the book she poses some very important questions we can ask ourselves about our own writing process. She understands that once we know ourselves better, we can write better. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is stalling on starting or completing their own writing.
RESTORATIVE LIFE PRESERVERS! by Toon Tooter
This book and Kathrin's companion book. 'The A to Zen of Writing', are perfect armament against writers' block, and those doldrum days when it seems The Muse is playing not only hide and seek, but has left the planet forever.
Rather than duplicate the reviews listed here, eloquently outlining as they do, the restorative power in these two books, suffice to say: buy both and keep them right beside you daily as you write.
They are a life preserver for any writer voyaging upon the literary seas, be they storm-tossed or calm.
Thank you, Kathrin for these two ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL writing books!

I wish I'd had Writing with Cold Feet in my 20s when I stopped writing for reasons that seem ridiculous to me now. It's full of great how-to advice for beating self-defeat and kick-starting creativity ...You don't have to have a tortured soul to be an excellent writer. Who knew?
- Robin Spano, author of Death Plays Poker and the Clare Vengel mystery series
