Wild Walks in Cornwall: Part 1 – The Far West.

Do you love wildlife watching, photography or the thrill of sharing your stroll with an unexpected companion rustling in the grass, or swooping close, with dinner in its talons? If so, there's no need to travel to exotic locations, when here in Great Britain we are blessed with a huge variety of landscapes and the wild creatures that make them home. Yet there are few regions as diverse or undisturbed as my home county of Cornwall, which makes it one of the best places in the country to encounter our native wildlife. My 'Wild Walks in Cornwall' series will suggest some routes for you to discover Cornwall’s wild side for yourself and this is part 1, The Far West. New parts for the rest of Cornwall will be out later this year. Each walk includes distance, terrain and a recommended OS map.
