What Do You Imagine...? 2 is the second in a series of books that encourages children (and adults) to embrace their imagination in a fun and unique way.
"My boys (ages 5 and 9) can't put these books down! Not only do they love to guess what each shape is, but they also find the photographs enchanting. I personally love listening to them discuss each picture and answer the thought provoking questions the author asks." Ms. Robyn Chan, mum of two.
A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR
As the great Albert Einstein himself once said …
“Dude, imagination is far more important than passing standardized tests...”
Ok, fair enough, he didn’t quite utter those exact words, but I do think he would have had a lot to say about how creativity and imagination are being stamped out of some schools these days, and are superseded by test preparation…
Children’s minds, when encouraged, are an abyss of creativity. They have an imagination that we as adults can only dream about. It breaks my heart that such creativity is not always being celebrated as it should.
So I’m hoping my book ‘What Do You Imagine…?’ helps your child (and of course you) to embrace the right side of the brain.
So here’s the story...
What I have done is draw a very simple shape. It’s up to you and your child to look at the shape and simply imagine what it could be. You then turn over the page and discover what my imagination told me it was. No answer is right or wrong. You will notice after a while, once your imagination is ‘warmed-up’, the ‘game’ gets easier and more fun! After all … imagination is like a muscle, the more it works out, the greater it becomes!
Enjoy.
