    Before we get started, I need you to know one thing.

    This book is not for everyone.



    I'm serious. This isn't some marketing trick.

    If you are looking for a book on extensive A/B testing, statistical analysis, and other kinds of overwhelming scientific approaches then please, please, do not buy this book.

    This book does not include any of that.

    Oh, and if you are looking for a boring, serious tone, well, you're really not going to like this book either.

    You'll probably think the examples comparing sex and dating to landing pages and sales are unprofessional and perhaps even offensive.

    But hey, one of the things I teach is that you should always speak to your buyer. Speak to the person you want to work with, and don't worry about offending everyone else.

    Now with that said, who should buy this book?

    Well, if you're someone like me.

    • Someone who doesn't have the time, or desire, to do extensive tests every time you need to create a new website, or landing page, or book description.

    • If you'd rather understand the fundamentals of good marketing and effective online selling before creating your page...instead of just guessing at what will work and then testing later.

    • If you run, or are part of a small business, and don't yet receive enough traffic to run proper tests.

    • If you want to understand landing pages and improve your results, but aren't interested in making it a full time job.


    Sounds a little bit like you? Then I think you're going to really enjoy this book.



    Sure, if you have a single landing page and a single product it makes sense to test every little detail. Change text colour, try different fonts, play around with headlines.

    But what if you need to consistently make new pages or products for your business? Do you have time to test every little detail?

    The purpose of this book is to help you get 80-90% of the way to a perfect page and in the process increase your conversation rate and online profits.

    Then, if you'd like, there is no reason you can't then implement lots of tests and optimization approaches to take the final few steps...

    ...Or "Go all the way" if we want to get the dating metaphors started.

    Personally, I prefer to apply the 80/20 rule and get 80% of the result in 20% of the time. That way I can build 5 pages at 80% in the same time I could have one at 20%...

    80 x 5....I think that is more than 100 right?

    Life is short. Don't waste it looking at spread sheets.
