Ugly Cat: (Previously published as “Charley and the Ugly Cat.”)

Ugly Cat is the story of a boy and a cat. It is probably a rather typical relationship between a human and an animal, but it is also unique in that the cat is totally feral and well beyond the age at which a cat is believed to be a candidate for domestication. It is a cat that no one would want and a boy, believing himself to be ignored and insignificant. The boy learns patience and the importance of perseverance. The cat responds with what may be better than average feline intelligence. Both learn true friendship and profit from this encounter. Both gain a life, defined differently for each, but impactful in a life changing way for the boy … and the cat.
