Student Paramedic Billy Boyle, is embarking on the front line of the emergency service in True blue-light tales, a humorous and thought provoking story inspired by true events. His mentor and crew-mate, McDamnock TC is a tall well built Scott and a former champion of the highland games, who back in the day participated in the Tossing the caber competitions. Nowadays Mac will stand by his mantelpiece every day before work with a mug of McDamnock special brew tea in hand, admiring his five Tossers trophies and contemplating which manager he’d award a Tossers trophy to.
The incidents Billy and Mac attend are a collection of the more ironic 999 calls that have actually occurred, but there is a serious side to this true tale as Billy finds out which leaves him questioning his career choice.
The author is a Paramedic, with over thirteen years experience working for the Ambulance service.
