“Mocktails” are drinks that only look like they have alcohol. What, little or no alcohol? Yes, why not? There’s enough sophistication in mocktails to surprise and please the hard drinkers. To make them, you’re going to need a blender and juicer.
This book includes the top 40 mocktails that are just as delicious as cocktails but don't make you drunk! Here is a sample recipe for your enjoyment:
CARIBBEAN MOCKTAIL
It’s a lovely deep purple color, much like a sunset after as storm in Jamaica.
Serving: 1
Ingredients:
1/4 cup + 2 T. (90 ml / 3 fl oz.) grapefruit juice
1/4 cup + 2 T. (90 ml / 3 fl oz.) cranberry juice
1 to 2 T. (15 to 30 ml / 0.50 to 1 fl oz.) soda water
Ice cubes
A slice of lime (garnish)
Procedure:
In a cocktail shaker, pour in the juices, soda water (to taste: anywhere between 1 to 2 T.), and a few ice cubes. Shake well to combine. Then pour into a highball glass filled a quarter of the way with ice cubes. Garnish with the lime slice, and serve.
