    About

THE TALENTED MATT DAMON is the first full-length (at over 75,000 words) and fully up-to-date biography of superstar MATT DAMON. Best-selling author BRIAN J. ROBB has previously written biographies of superstars Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp, and Brad Pitt, among many others. As well as charting the on-screen career of Damon, from Saving Private Ryan, through The Departed to the Golden Globe winning The Martian and beyond, Robb also focuses on Damon’s private life: the effect early fame had on him, his relationship with best friend Ben Affleck, his girlfriends, his wife and his family of four daughters, his political activism—and his long-running joke feud with chat show host Jimmy Kimmel!

You Know His Name: Matt Damon is most famous as Jason Bourne, but his lengthy cinematic career has encompassed characters such as stranded astronaut Mark Watney in The Martian, master thief Linus Caldwell in the blockbuster caper trilogy of the Ocean’s movies, and the title-character in his self-penned Oscar-winning movie, Good Will Hunting.

‘Matt Damon is a fascinating Hollywood figure,’ says Robb. ‘He has a connection with his audience because of his “everyman” persona, a down-to-earth approach he has maintained despite his early fame and dramatic Oscar win.’
