The Story of Pete’s Dream: A Standardbred Race Horse

On a small farm in eastern Maryland, Mr. Den and his wife, Rose raise and race standard-bred horses. It was always a dream of his father and the two of them to one day have a fast racehorse. The excitement was building as the farm hand told them that a filly had been born. Upon first sight of the newborn filly they began thinking that their dream might be possible.
