Central to Ron Fuller's life story is a love of flying and a strong connection to rural and remote South Australia. With humour and a sense of fun, Ron recounts stories from his childhood, Air Force days, through a diverse and colorful working life into retirement.
Ron's adventures transverse most of rural SA, particularly Eyre Peninsula. A "true blue" opportunist, Ron's more unusual business exploits take the reader as far as Queensland and the Northern Territory. Ron's adventures in SA include thousands of hours flying up to 200 mile off shore spotting tuna, operating mercy flights and servicing remote lighthouse islands.
In recognition of unpaid hours spent flying off remote South Australia coast conducting numerous searches for missing boats or fishermen, Ron was awarded an OAM in 1998.
