What does it take to build a successful business? A Harvard education? Outside investors? Limitless sleepless nights? Not so fast.
As a small business attorney and business consultant, I’ve seen a lot of people attempt to start their own businesses over the years. I’ve seen successes, and I’ve seen failures. Not all successes were due to hard work, and not all failures were due to lack of trying or education. I have noticed, though, that successful business owners have a few things in common with one another, and a lot of failures are the results of lack of information and strategy. In this book, I’ve collected a few common themes and hard truths that every entrepreneur should know before committing to starting a new business.
These are the facts, strategies, and traits that every successful business owner must know and embody. They’re the things that both failed and successful entrepreneurs have said, time and again, “I wish someone had told me that before I got started!”
