    About

The Photographer's Guide to Etosha National Park is a comprehensive eBook that was rated A+ (Creative, High Quality and Unique) by the prestigious Apogee Photo Magazine.

This is the second edition, published in 2016, which has an extra 75 pages that includes the new hide at Olifantsrus, new lessons, lodges outside the park and has a foreword by Daryl Balfour.

The book covers the six rest-camps and camping sites inside the park plus some great lodges outside the park, suggested game drive routes, the best waterholes within Etosha and offers everything needed for a visitor to quickly learn what photo equipment to bring with, to know where the animal hot-spots are and to know what to expect from the animals when they find them.

Unlike many other destination guides, the information is presented in an easily understandable manner, with simple explanations, detailed maps, 170 color photographs and photo lessons at the end of every chapter.

The e-Book is aimed at people with some photographic knowledge - it assumes that the reader understands exposure (ISO, shutter speed and aperture) and that the reader knows the basic functions of their camera. With modern digital cameras most photographers, even beginners, can capture good photos - if they are in the right place at the right time.

The challenge is to find the animals at the right time of the day in order to make the most of the lighting. Therefore, the highlight of the e-Book is the fact that each section discusses the key animal species and where and when they could be found.

"Drawing upon our collective twenty seven years of African photo safari experience, we have compiled a guidebook that we would have loved to have had when we first started going on African safaris!" says Kathryn Haylett, one of the e-Book's co-authors.

The outcome: quickly and easily gain a new understanding into the world of African wildlife and acquire the skills necessary to find and then photograph them. From the first day you arrives at Etosha you could be photographing the key animal species like an Etosha veteran.

"If you've ever had the desire to go to Africa to experience nature at its most raw, and to bring home the kind of photos that make it real all over again for your friends to envy, this book will do that for you. Written and compiled in language and format that can make any photography novice return home with their own enviable collection of 'life in the wild' photos." - Luba Fedus, California, USA

"Never judge a book by its cover", so the saying goes. I always do. Here's a book that covers (a) wildlife and nature photography; (b) shows me "how" to record those incredible memories; and (c) relates the lessons specifically to a wildlife park that I love to visit. I will definitely be taking this guide book along on my next trip to Etsoha - and recommend it for all the practical, specific and easy to understand lessons and tips it contains, for your visit to Etosha National Park." - Celeste Wilson, Findtripinfo.com, USA

So if you want to return home after your Etosha safari with photos you are proud of, then 'The Photographer's Guide to Etosha' eBook is for you!
