In The Second Coming of Christ, Paramahansa Yogananda writes that God keeps the door to a soul's past lives tightly closed, lest we give undue attention to former glories or disastrous errors, rather than on the present life. However, Yogananda then goes on to say, that God nevertheless permits us glimpses when the purpose is beneficial.
This book offers such glimpses into several of the past lives of this beloved, God-realized Master. A number of Yogananda’s direct disciples already shared with us the identity of some of his former lives – like Arjuna and William the Conqueror. A little known fact is, that in his talks and writings, Yogananda himself left many clues about some of the other roles he played in in the past. Through the blessings of God and Gurus, the author was able to discover and decode some of these clues, and presents them here for the inspiration of the reader.
