The Marvelous Shields: Concoctions, Clocks & Combat Boots

Cecily Lila Shields is about to embark upon her sixteenth year journey—a year away from home to prepare her for finding a beau to court her. Much to her displeasure, she is forced to take her two younger sisters on the journey with her—Charlotte Lucy Shields, a twelve year old Alchemist Engineer with great intelligence and Claire Lenora Shields, a spunky nine year old with unprecedented fighting skills. Seeking a grand adventure, the three girls soon find themselves involved in some very mysterious circumstances. From the woman wearing a red eye patch and clunky shoes following them to the strange Iron Alligator trying to eat them out of the sky, the girls quickly realize they will have to use their wits, talents and sheer determination to outwit the Establishment and make it safely through their adventure.
