I am not a writer. But I did manage to self-publish this book. I did it because it's my belief that my story may serve to help others. What I am is just a regular guy that got caught up in 'the dream' of creating financial freedom using the internet. More precisely, I got addicted to the pursuit of using products that the 'make money gurus' hawk to help me 'make a fortune' from the internet.
In all honesty my intention was not to make a million dollars, or even a fortune. I wanted to earn enough extra money to improve my family's quality of life. Instead I was taken down a rabbit hole so deep and convoluted that it caused me tremendous debt and contributed to the dissolution of my marriage.
Let me be clear. I understand that no one forced me to spend the money on guru products, schemes, and magic software. But I feel that sharing the process of how it all took place has merit.
It is my deepest hope that these words will serve as a road map. Perhaps they can help someone else avoid the money making potholes on the superhighway. May these words help them escape the clutches of the pipe dream merchants before my fate befalls them.
