    About

You're going through a divorce. You're worried about your lawyer, money... but most importantly you are worried about your children. The Intelligent Divorce: Because Your Kids Come First is an easy to understand guide for busy parents who want to raise healthy children despite going through a divorce.

This volume is the first of a three part series for divorcing parents. Following in the series will be The Intelligent Divorce: Taking Care of Yourself (2011) and The Intelligent Divorce: Dealing With Your (impossible) Ex (2012).

In this volume you will learn about child development, how to tell if your kid is in trouble and what to do to set it right. You will learn how to parent constructively with your ex spouse or how to raise a healthy child alone. You'll be able to chart your kids progress and feel reassured that things are going to be okay. You don't want your child to be a statistic.

Mark R. Banschick, M.D. is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with over 20 years of experience in child and adolescent psychiatry. The Intelligent Divorce course evolved from his work as an expert witness in custody disputes. Dr. Banschick has appeared on the CBS Early Show and has been quoted in The New York Times, The Huffington Post and firstwivesworld.com. He has devoted 20 years to understanding divorce.

"As a practicing pediatrician, I am all too often a witness to the deleterious effects of divorce on children. The Intelligent Divorce, uniquely in my experience, guides the reader through the multiple travails of the divorce process with a special focus on the needs of the children. Comprehensive, practical and with a special section of developmentally appropriate charts to assist in following a child's progress, it's a must read for any professional caring for children."
