However, in ‘The Guardian’s Apprentice’ we learn that Oceanus Terran is more than he seems; he is a Time Guardian. They are an elite group of people who put the timeline right after a criminal, who stole a prototype Timemaster, has interfered with it. Who they are and how they do this Andy has to learn, as an apprentice. But first he must return to the bombardment of Whitby to retrieve the fallen Guardian’s watch chain and ring; then he has to make certain the Titanic does sink!
Andy’s ingenuity makes sure the great liner goes down, then risk his own life to save the other Time Guardians and deal with the criminal. For his actions aboard the Titanic, Andy is made a Time Guardian by their mysterious founder; a man from the future.
