In a smog-bound city where magic has been consigned to history, 16 year old Molly Crockett discovers a body in unusual circumstances.
Unable to tell her city guard father for fear of revealing the secret her murdered mother taught her, she begins investigating herself when her home is attacked by a sinister group hell bent on restoring magic for their own gains.
With her father missing, she is left with no choice but to learn more of the secret world of her mother and to find and rescue him, doing everything she can to stop her enemies from gaining more power.
