The woodland creatures are all of a dither. Someone is taking their cucumbers! Sir Gerrance of Canadugal (Lord of the castle on the lake and surrounding woodland) has discovered his vegetable patch is being rifled too. So he calls in the help of his old friend Hornpecker to solve the crime. Hornpecker sends out messages to the Heads of all the woodland families, inviting animals and birds to unite and plan how they can trap the culprit. But when they do, what they discover is not at all what they had expected!
