August 2001, three former members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army (PIRA) have travelled to Colombia, suspected of training the FARC guerrillas in exchange for arms shipments to support the Continuation IRA.
After a tip off to MI5 from a member of Sinn Fein, Archer’s Bravo Seven Troop SAS patrol is sent to Colombia to carry out a clandestine surveillance operation, locate the three CIRA members and provide intelligence on the arms shipment to enable the Royal Navy to intercept it en-route to Ireland.
However, the mission goes badly wrong when the team’s cover is compromised, putting Archer in danger and forcing Mack and the rest of the patrol to use their extensive SAS jungle training to complete their mission and get out.
