Written by a teacher, part two explains the plight of Gopher Tortoises and Sea Turtles, along with other “keystone species” that are illustrated in the storybook. All of the animals in the story are either threatened or are endangered.
It includes suggestions for children as to how they can be vigilant conservationists and watch out for animals in their own home towns. Animals discussed include GOPHER TORTOISES, SEA TURTLES, SEA HORSES, BURROWING OWLS, LIVING CORAL REEF AND MORE.
Children, ages three to eight will fall in love with the baby turtles. Older children will learn about animal conservation and what they can do to help.
