Syrian Witness: An Irish Eye in Syria

Irish citizen Dr Declan Hayes recounts his experiences and impressions in Damascus, Homs, Latakia, the Qalamoun Hills, Ma'loula, Kasab and other areas of government-held Syria during his 2014 and 2015 visits there. Although Dr Hayes has met leading Syrian religious and political leaders, his focus is very much on those who are paying the highest price for this war: the women and children of the Syrian Arab Republic and the army which fight and die protecting them.
