Stone In A Sling: A Soldier’s Journey

Stone in a Sling describes the story of Major (Ret.) Scott Meehan (1958-), who was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He began writing about his twenty-five year career after retiring from the U.S. Army in 2005. Meehan's accounts include his duty in Berlin when he was approached by the KGB. In 1991, he was an Intelligence officer with the Psychological Warfare Operations during Desert Storm, while stationed on the front lines with the Marines. From 2003-2007, Meehan served three tours to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, earning a Bronze Star for actions in Balad. He has written four other novels, three of which are part of the "Army Brat" series. He now resides and teaches college in Florida.
