Space Stations (Journey into Space Book 1)

Space Stations takes you on a trip to Earth orbit, and to artificial habitats that have been built in space. The main focus in this book is the International Space Station (ISS) a 100 billion dollar assembly that took dozens of space flights and many years to build. Now it is a flying laboratory with crews of up to six astronauts that stay aboard for six months or more. Earth resources, science experiments, and zero-gravity studies are carried out there, the aim being increase our understanding of how things live and work in the high frontier we call space.
