Dedicated to the carer formally known as 'mum'
The book I have written is through my eyes, feelings and thoughts . Raw at times, honest and open. I am no trained author or intend to be one. You may not like or agree with what you read but I will not apologise for my views of his demise at the time.
The facts are real, his behaviour is real, the deterioration is real and my father is real.
His carer, (formerly known as mum). The struggle to cope with him vanishing before her very eyes.
It was said that: ‘He was an elderly man who had a bad memory’.
Not knowing that he had been living within the world of Dementia for the past twenty years.
Funny at times, heartbreaking at others.
Having been a hard working man with four children, who liked to be the centre of attention, while mum, was his shadow, busy raising us.
When I was a child my mum was a caring wife........
Now, she is nothing more to him than a carer.
