Curious mermaid Skye spies a party yacht one night and sneaks away from her pod to observe the humans. But her sightseeing adventure turns into a rescue when one man falls overboard. Compelled by Mer law to stay hidden, she flees as soon as he’s safe, but the encounter leaves a hook firmly lodged in her heart.

Getting to know her rescuer goes against everything she's ever been taught; stay hidden or risk annihilation. Yet the lure of the man and his promise to show her land is too strong to ignore.
She decides to trust her heart and accepts the man’s invitation to board his boat. As it sets sail for shore, though, she fears her decision will be the Mer’s undoing.
The land she once craved now her prison, Skye must find a way to return to the ocean without exposing the Mer.
