    About

    Why Saviors?

Why were Hitler and Stalin “Saviors of the 20th Century?” Because the German Nazi and Soviet Communist movements under the iron-fisted leadership of Adolf Hitler and Josef Stalin were the most powerful political, social and military death machines in the history of civilization.

When they signed a mutual non-aggression pact in 1939 and together began a campaign to destroy the nations of the western world no one stood in their way. Czechoslovakia and Poland were the first to disappear, followed by Baltic and Eastern European areas as the world helplessly watched, paralyzed by the lightning speed in which the war machines gobbled up Europe.

Yet Hitler and Stalin both knew their treaty would only postpone the inevitable war between them. Just one force on earth stood in their path of world domination, each other. This book tells of the war of annihilation between these ancient enemies, one that was predicted in prophecy, directed by destiny, and executed in the lands of Eastern Europe and Russia, a battle whose outcome would dictate the future course of world history.

Time and again throughout the brutal rise of Communism and Nazism mysterious forces seemed to guide them toward a climactic confrontation as seeds of hate, fear and greed came to dominate the leaders. In the end Hitler and Stalin left a legacy of 120 million people dead in their wake.

    Striking Similarities

Although they were enemies throughout life Hitler and Stalin shared a striking number of similarities. Both mothers gave birth to three children before they were born, and all the children died.

Their family names were changed, they were sickly children, were raised by and devoted to their mothers, while their fathers beat and abandoned them.

Hitler was a Catholic whose mother wanted him to be a priest and he attended a Benedictine monastery. Stalin was an Eastern Orthodox, his mother wanted him to be a priest, and he attended Orthodox theological school and the seminary.

In school they were exceptional students, both were excellent artists, yet neither graduated from high school nor attended university. Adolf’s father died when he was 13, Stalin’s when he was 11. Both lost their Christian faith by the age of 13. By age 20 both were social dropouts living on their own.

In 1913 both lived in Vienna. Both left their homeland to pursue political careers. Born in Austria, Hitler pursued politics in Germany, while Stalin was born in Georgia and pursued his career in Russia. Both were jailed for their political beliefs. Hitler was 33 years old when he led the revival of the Nazi party; Stalin was 35 when he led the revival of the Bolsheviks.

Hitler wrote a major Nazi policy work, Mein Kampf at age 33, while Stalin wrote Marxism and the National Question outlining Bolshevik policy at age 35. By age 42 both were in control of their respective political organizations.
