But it should read Genesis 2.4 “These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that {Yahweh} made the earth and the heavens,”
The Hebrew name of God is יהוה YHWH. Was revealed to Moses by God in Exodus 6:2-3. In Hebrew, there is usually no vowels inserted and it is up to the reader to insert the vowels at the time of reading. Most scholars think the vowels in the name of God is A and E making it { Yahweh }.
Several centuries before Jesus, the Jews stopped pronouncing the name of God as it was too sacred and they started to substitute the word Adonai { The LORD } instead whenever they came across the word { Yahweh } or{ YHWH }. All translations took out God, The Father’s real name { Yahweh } and put in The LORD. Why ? Is this the Devils way of getting rid of God?

Vatican forbids use of ‘Yahweh’
The Name Yahweh is so powerful that the Catholic Church will not allow the name to be spoken in any of their churches.
The Vatican has forbidden the use of the Tetragrammaton { YHWH } (usually pronounced { Yahweh } ) to refer to God in the liturgy.It said: "In liturgical celebrations, in songs and prayers the name of God in the form of the Tetragrammaton { YHWH } is neither to be used or pronounced."
