    About

Biography of rugby player FS Jackson, who played for Leicester, Cornwall and Swinton before being suspended for professionalism in 1908, when on tour in New Zealand with an Anglo-Welsh team. Throughout his rugby career he played under a pseudonym, and even his own family did not know his true identity. Jackson settled in New Zealand after his suspension, and was later reinstated in rugby union. All is revealed in this fascinating true-life sporting detective story. The book also has an appendix on Leicester Tigers RFC up to the First World War
