Roxi helps to teach Tommy what adoption is about. She is a big red Irish Setter with fluffy ears and a long beautiful tail. She needs a new home. The family that raised her from a puppy, and loved her very much, has to move away to the big city. They are unable to take her with them, so she has to be left behind. Tommy finds Roxi at the pound, and gives her a, "forever home." Roxi gets adopted and gives Tommy someone to love, and she in return loves him back. This book is a good teaching tool about adoption.
