Both men were lying on either side of the arena. The explosion had thrown them back, and whoever recovered first would get the advantage.
Clark was sprawled on the floor in a coughing fit; somehow some of the fire had managed to char his clothes a little. His sword was thrown off to the side. Darek, however, got up first and readied a fireball in his hand. As Clark stood up, the fireball struck him straight in the chest and sent him back to the ground. The crowd grew silent, and Tania let out a squeal of terror.
Darek was now swinging his sword as he neared Clark, continuously shooting fireballs at him. Clark lamely tried to fire some lightning at him, which hurt him, but only a tiny bit. He laughed at Clark’s pitiful attempts.
Tony noticed that Clark was inching closer and closer to his sword. But he would never be able to make his way to it in time before Darek killed him.
“You thought that you could defeat me?” Darek mocked Clark as he threw another fireball. Clark wheezed as he successfully dodged it. His face was bloody, and his shirt was burnt off, showing his charred, red skin.
“You would never be as good as me,” said Darek again. “You wouldn’t even have the heart to kill anyone, would you?” By now Darek was looming over Clark, who was trying his best to grasp the sword. Darek raised his sword over Clark’s heart, and Clark seemed to surrender.

Arianna Kay is a young 12-year-old (as of 2015) schoolgirl who devotes most of her spare time to creative thinking and imagining. Having nowhere else to put this creativity to use, she writes books and doodles. Her hobbies include reading books, singing, drawing, and dancing. She lives in an oversized double-story terrace house with her little sister and parents who encourage her to write.
In school, she strives to be the best and excels in all her subjects, with the English Language being her favorite. Most of her friends also encourage her to continue writing, as they enjoy reading her stories.
Arianna mainly enjoys writing because it enables her to be free, lost in her own world of imagination and wonders.
