ROOKLIFE

The rook is a sociable bird and spends his days in the company of large groups of his pals. Unlike most birds he is not a specialised feeder and enjoys juicy fat grubs as well as cereal crops and because of this he is both friend and foe to the farmer. This story is about a year in the life of a group of rooks. Although they have been ‘humanised’ it is an authentic account of a rook’s lifestyle throughout the year.
