Reading Hack is an assessment and phonics based reading recovery programme, designed for parents and teachers who are interested in supporting individuals with reading difficulties. It consists of a diagnostic assessment and 12 units of work. The Reading Hack recovery programme is suitable for all learners who are finding learning to read difficult or have gaps in their phonic knowledge including learners with dyslexia and related learning difficulties.
The assessment highlights what is currently known and provides a starting point. Each unit of Reading Hack focuses on different phonetic rules (presented hierarchically) and includes appropriately levelled sight vocabulary.
