Princesses and Butterflies

Princesses and Butterflies is not your typical fairy tale! This is a story about explaining death to young children in a sort of fairy tale setting. Sadly I lost my youngest child to a rare neurological disorder Bilateral Perisylvian Polymicrogyria (PMG). My older daughters couldn’t understand why wouldn’t see their baby sister so I wrote this story to help explain her passing. It’s a story of sadness and loss, but told in a way that I hope children and adults of all ages will understand, as this is a story of love, strength, and healing. It’s my little labor of love to my daughters to help them understand that death is not the end, but the beginning of a new adventure. All royalties from book sales will go to Jori’s Journey, a foundation that is being created to help other families affected by PMG.
