Poor Bucks Trial is a short story set in the mid-twentieth century, about an innocent misunderstanding. The word 'trial' has multiple meanings, and a child (the storyteller) can pick the wrong one. Since the child also loves a dog (Buck), a 'Dog Trial' has special meaning. The story covers both how the child experiences a normal weekend, has a very bad dream, and learns something new. The story is made to be read to younger children, and be read by children 9-14 years in age. Anyone who loves the outdoors, loves fishing, and loves dogs, will find it fun.
Note: Any reader will also suffer through my pencil drawings as well, since the story is set before the age of computer graphics!
