    About

    *ALSO AVAILABLE AS PART OF A BOX SET*

    Do you like true stories of the Wild West?

    You should love these tales of outlaws, gunslingers and adventurers then.

    Of course you will have heard of most of them as many have become legends.

    Their escapades were exciting, daring and reckless and many paid the ultimate price in the end.

    These tales romp along with plenty of action and recreate the atmosphere of this exciting and dangerous era in America's history using the vernacular of the times.

    PLEASE NOTE - Whilst the events that took place are primarily true, (as far as we know), the author has used a certain amount of creative license regarding what may, or may not, have been spoken by the characters to add flavor to the stories. They are intended to move rapidly with fast talking characters, plenty of action and fun to read and are not meant to be biographical.

    Volume 2:

    * Wild Bill Hickok
    Infamous gunfighter and gambler who died holding the "dead man's hand" Scout, gambler, marksman, hired gun, and lawman, Wild Bill was involved in several rip-roaring shootouts and as a young man went on the run from the law. Some of his adventures have been exaggerated, but he was an undisputed marksman which no doubt sent him down the path of both fame and his ultimate violent death.

    * Belle Starr Bandit Queen of the West
    From a comparatively wealthy and affluent family, as a teenager Belle became romantically involved with Cole Younger, (of the James and Younger brothers gangs), and inevitably began her criminal activities. She was prosecuted for crimes such as cattle rustling, robbery, bootlegging and horse theft, but was eventually shot to death.

    * Doc Holliday
    Gunfighter, Gambler, Outlaw and Dentist..... Was Doc Holliday a poet, scholar and humanitarian as some say, or was he as others believe, a cold blooded killer and one of the most ruthless gunmen of the lawless Wild West?

    * The Dalton Gang
    - Law abiding ranchers who became ruthless bandits and killers
    As train robbers the Daltons ranked almost as high in the annals of crime as the likes of Jesse James, but it was the murder of one the brothers that set them off on a rampage of killing and robbery and their inevitable own deaths.

    * Buffalo Bill
    The beginnings of a legend William Frederick "Buffalo Bill" Cody was born in Iowa and spent some of his formative years in Canada. He was a soldier, pony express rider, Indian fighter, bison hunter and became a famous showman touring the USA, Europe and the UK with his cowboy themed Wild West Shows. This story covers some of his early years as he began the career which would make him one of the most colorful characters the Wild West has ever known.
