My tone surprises him. He looks me in my eyes and says, “I guess it’s true. A guy like me only gets the girl in his dreams.”
When he walks out the door I turn and collapse into a chair, clutching the tattoo on my wrist. I just might take the chance. Weezer’s “Only In Dreams,” begins to play in my head as if on repeat. I grab the towel on the back of the chair next to me and press it to my face, comforting myself. It’s over, don’t cry for him, it’s finally over. He has to hate you after that. - Only In Dreams
Emmie Hayes’ best friend, Paige has created a life for herself. She’s finally happy, that is until Christian Bennett resurfaces. Suddenly she learns doing the thing that is right for your soul isn’t always the easiest for your heart.

Author Interview:
Question: What made you want to write Only In Dreams?
Wendy: I had this book planned and then something happened in my life an it completely changed. It was always supposed to be Paige's story, but as I was writing tragedy struck my family. Our family lost my brother-in-law. It was the deepest pain I've ever felt. I ached for me, for my children, my parents, and of course my sister. The hurt was so bad it bled onto the pages of this book. I wanted an inspirational romance that would help people relate to that pain, that would tell them they are not alone. New Adult romances tend to be full of steam, and while this one has its tense moments, I feel like the story I wanted to tell is there.
Question: What's your favorite part of the book?
Wendy: I don't want to give away too much, but there is a scene in a bathtub that I sobbed when writing because it struck a bit too close to home. I hope it touches readers the same way it did me.
Question: Why Texas?
Wendy: Why not Texas? Seriously though, when someone is running away from their problems Texas seemed about as far removed from New York as you could get. For me it also symbolized the change that we saw Christian got through. Who doesn't love a little southern romance with a cowboy?
Question: What's next for this Contemporary Romance Series?
Wendy: I'm excited to tell you that The Luckiest is available now. In Only In Dreams Christian mentions a friend he made during the time gap he an Paige were apart, Mac. Well in the Luckiest we meet Mac and get to find out her story.
