This story is a young girl’s train ride that begins in Upstate New York and winds its way to Maquoketa, Iowa aboard an Orphan Train that offered her a new start in life. Dorothy's story begins in a home that did not welcome the illegitimate birth that so enraged her Grandmother, and ultimately brings about the secretive trip to the nearest orphanage to eliminate the problem. Based upon a real life story, Ones Way Home will offer an emotional ride as Dorothy eventually returns to the starting point of her journey to reconnect with the family who sent her away.
